OKW’s new range of MINITEC miniature enclosures now includes wrist strap models. These highly attractive small enclosures have been designed for compact electronic devices that can be worn on the wrist, for example personal security devices, exposure detection units, emergency call buttons, medical devices and remote control units.

The new models form part of an extensive line of over 120 MINITEC cases which offer a huge range of sizes, styles and colour combinations.

The wrist strap models are available in two standard sizes: 52 x 32 x 15 mm and 68 x 43 x 18 mm. Each case consists of a top part, bottom part and a soft intermediate ring. The top and base parts are moulded in off-white or lava grey ABS, or black infra-red transparent PMMA (UL 94 HB).

The intermediate rings are moulded in soft touch TPE in four standard colours: volcano grey, orange, lime green and bright blue. These rings have lateral strap loops which are used to fit the accessory wrist strap. The 280 mm long wrist strap is made from elastic nylon, and is secured on the wrist with Velcro.

The PCB enclosures are offered with a recessed top part, which is designed for locating a membrane keypad or product label, or a smooth top part for fitting rubber keypads etc.

Location bosses are moulded in the base parts for mounting PCBs and components, and the cases are assembled using a single self-tapping fixing screw.

OKW can supply the MINITEC enclosures with additional holes for the keypads or connectors, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMC shielding.
